"Nihao!" Shampoo is a Chinese Amazon woman who is in love with Ranma. She turns into a small white cat when she is splashed with cold water. The downfall of the transformation is that Ranma is extremely scared of cats.
| Boy-type or Girl-type Ranma?
She is bound to her Amazon law to marry Ranma yet to kill him, because he defeated her in combat. When he was a girl at the time he defeated Shampoo, she is required by tribal law to kill him. When he was a boy at the time he defeated Shampoo, she is required by tribal law to marry him. Unfortunately she didn't know at the time that girl-type Ranma and boy-type Ranma are one & the same. But, right now, she just wants to marry him. |

Shampoo's Great Grandmother
Shampoo's great grandmother Cologne runs the Neko Hanten restaurant that they opened up in Japan. (Neko means cat in Japanese) It seems to be a busy place so she's lucky to have Mousse working there for her to boss around all the time! Her goal in life is to get Ranma hitched to Shampoo, while making sure Mousse stays out of the picture. |

Lin Lin & Ran Ran are from Shampoo's tribe. They have to make sure the marriage goes through, which means eliminating Ranma's other fiancées. After all, there's 3000 years of tradition at stake. |
