Cologne is the leader of Shampoo's amazon tribe in China. She has lived for 300 years and therefore know many strange martial arts techniques. She tries to teach Ranma better skills because he wants him to be a better husband for Shampoo. She has also taught Ryoga some techniques so he can compete with Ranma. The only advantage Ranma has in beating her is the Neko Ken (Cat Fist) technique.
Matchmaking
Her goal in life is to get Ranma and Shampoo together, while making
sure Mousse stays out of the way. She believes that Ranma will marry
Shampoo and therefore calls him "son-in-law" most of the time.
